A peek into our Halls, finished projects!

Dugan artists did a great job!!

2nd graders learned about the Aztec culture and created warriors in Profile view. They explored blending using oil pastels and focused on the contributions the Aztecs made to the textile industry with their patterns

3rd grade students explored the art of Australia and the Aborigines. Dugan artists created Xray style animals and a Dot art border.

4th grade artists traveled to Africa and discovered the Ndebele village of Mapoch, South Africa. Here they discuss the style of the brightly painted building. Students create a frame in the style of the Ndebele Artists.
Students then discuss the animals you will see in Africa and used oil pastels to discuss blending to show form and realism.

5th Graders discovered the history and culture of the Oaxacan people from Oaxaca, Mexico (woo-ha-ka). They discussed Alebrijes and the the mythical stories. Students created on tin their animal and created a wonderful story that denotes its character traits.
